VOLUNTEERS START CAMPAIGN FOR ABANDONED BLIND DOG – A blind Pit…

VOLUNTEERS START CAMPAIGN FOR ABANDONED BLIND DOG – A blind Pit Bull named Poly was abandoned on a park bench. She was rescued but has serious health issues.

A Pit Bull named Poly was discovered on a park bench in the Santa Barbara, California, area. She is blind and it appears that someone abandoned her at the park. Poly was picked up by Animal Control and rescued by an organization called Forever Home Pet Rescue which has been raising money for Poly’s medical treatment. A “bucket list” campaign was started to raise awareness about Poly and other dogs in need of help. You can paste her picture into various photos to provide her with a virtual trip. Here’s more from Poly’s fundraising page:

Poly is a blind 3 year old Pit Bull that was abandoned on a park bench – too afraid to even get off the bench. She was picked up by Animal Control and it was discovered that she had recently had puppies as well. The shelter vet noted that she had a severe heart condition, a skin condition, swollen lymph nodes… all on top of being totally blind. The shelter put out a Facebook plea that a rescue organization come and get her. Foreverhome Pet Rescue, Inc. stepped up for Poly and started a successful fundraiser for her diagnostics and treatment. Now that Poly has gained international attention with her story, she wants to “paw it forward” and help other dogs like her to get the testing and treatment they need.
